To be eligible to apply for a co-op student position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada as a student.
- In possession of a Social Insurance Number (card) at time of hire.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis and returning to school upon completion of the co-op work term(s).
This position will require the successful incumbent to provide proof of co-op eligibility, a transcript and tax credit form(s) from their school’s co-op department. Job Summary Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Response and Outreach, this role is responsible for completing analytical and administrative tasks to support the Customer and Response Outreach team , as it relates to the delivery of Halton's Public Works Water and Wastewater program and services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect information from internal and external stakeholders to help analyze existing Water and Wastewater Services’ processes and programs to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and analyze customer data from multiple data sources to identify correlations and patterns and to make recommendations to improve customer communications and water and wastewater processes, programs or services
- Assist with business process mapping of internal Customer Response and Outreach processes
- Prepare presentations and graphs
- Support Water and Wastewater program content updates for website as required
- Attend and support Halton’s Annual Children’s Water Festival and other community-based initiatives
- Conduct outbound calls and receive inbound calls, as it relates to residents and businesses water and wastewater services
- Close Service Requests and Work Orders as required
- Prepare letters and other printed materials for residents and businesses
- Prepare meeting agendas, and record meeting minutes as required
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Analytical skills with the ability to monitor and analyze data and identify correlation and patterns
- Ability to manage changing priorities and multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as member of a team
Preferred
- Past experience with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS OneNote, MS Teams.
Working/ Employment Conditions Employment Conditions The successful candidate will be made an offer of employment on condition that the Regional Municipality of Halton receives a current (obtained within the past six (6) months), original and acceptable Criminal Record Check by the first day of employment.
