####Position Overview
Foundation Health is seeking an**Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB/GYN)**to join our growing specialty team. This role includes providing comprehensive gynecologic and obstetrical care in a community-based setting, with opportunities to build a focused practice aligned with your clinical interests.
####Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive gynecologic care, including:
- Routine well-woman exams and cervical cancer screening
- Menstrual disorders and hormonal management
- Contraception (including IUD and implant insertion/removal)
- Menopause and perimenopausal care
- Management of gynecologic conditions (e.g., fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS)
- Provide obstetrical care (if applicable), including:
- Prenatal and postnatal care
- Labour and delivery participation (based on hospital privileges and call structure)
- Perform office-based procedures such as:
- Endometrial biopsies
- Colposcopy and treatment of cervical dysplasia
- Minor surgical procedures
- Collaborate with family physicians, midwives, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care
- Provide patient education and counselling on reproductive health
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
- Participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives
####Qualifications
- Medical degree with licensure in Ontario (or eligibility through CPSO)
- Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada)
- Experience in both gynecology and obstetrics preferred (flexible depending on practice focus)
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges (if participating in obstetrics)
- Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
