Job ID: 26-19259 Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Remote) Duration: 227 Business days with Extension Possibility up to 6 Months Client: Public Sector Pay Rate: CAD $90 -$110 per hour
Overview We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience leading large-scale SAP/ERP transformation initiatives within the public sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing complex enterprise projects involving procurement, HRIS, financial planning, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
Must-Have Qualifications 12+ years of Project Management experience leading complex IT/ERP initiatives Strong experience with SAP, 1GX, or comparable ERP systems 8+ years of Public Sector experience (Federal, Provincial, or Municipal) Experience managing ERP projects across Procurement (SCM), HRIS, and Financial Planning/Forecasting domains Expertise in project governance, executive reporting, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder management Experience working with large-scale enterprise transformation programs involving multiple business and technical teams
Preferred Qualifications PMP or PgMP Certification Experience with ERP modernization, procurement transformation, and workforce management initiatives Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies
Key Responsibilities Lead multiple ERP transformation projects from initiation through delivery. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and dependencies. Prepare executive-level status reports, steering committee updates, and governance materials. Coordinate business, technical, vendor, and leadership stakeholders. Drive successful delivery of strategic enterprise initiatives with minimal onboarding time.
