Join Our Team as Senior Commercial Finance Analyst at TCP- Canada!
TCP- Canada is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Integrated Finance function in a full-time, salaried role based in Etobicoke, CN.
This position plays a pivotal role in strengthening & accelerating our core business, unlocking synergies and creating a future ready organization. You'll work closely with the Director of Finance and Supply Chain, supporting Finance, as well as Sales and Marketing, ensuring they receive high level financial support, insight, and challenge.
This role is responsible for partnering with our Commercial Team to achieve the organization’s business objectives. This highly collaborative and analytical role will be a key player in monitoring and influencing business performance, providing insightful and actionable intelligence to Commercial Partners. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for process improvement and data analytics & working cross-functionally.
Performance Review and Forecasting
- Preparation of Monthly Performance Analysis of Full P&L (Revenue to EBIT)
- Deliver accurate, insightful, and timely analysis of financial results. Perform investigation of variances, highlighting financial issues with strategic and operational impacts, and recommend options to resolve or address gaps
- Preparation of monthly LE and summarization of changes LE vs LE
- Develop and maintain price forecasting model to support planning and analyze monthly/quarterly vs. appropriate benchmarks, make value-added recommendations, and prepare ad hoc analyses as requested to facilitate the formation of business plans.
- Preparation of financial model to carry out mix analysis (product, price and volume)
- Support Commercial team on ROI analysis, promotions vs Budget/PY
- Analyzing transactions, reviewing general ledger accounts, creating journal entries
- Maintaining timely, accurate financial records and performing financial analysis
- Monthly P&L and volumes confirmed between SAP and Prophix (budgeting/LE software)
- Quarter End and Year End external audit and additional disclosure deliverables
- Participating in internal and external audits, providing support and financial analysis as required
- Participating in ad hoc reporting and what-if analysis as directed and completing special projects as assigned
Innovation stage-gate business case development
- Provide financial analysis on cross-functional project teams, inclusive of product launches, helping to build the financial business case P&L's, challenging assumptions, providing insights and strategic direction for commercial activities.
- Serve as a key financial resource in new product development teams in defining customer pricing requirements. Model pricing strategy and margin expectations on new product launches.
Financial Planning & Decision Support
- Preparation of Annual Operating Plan
- Maintaining up to date factor tables and preparing uploads for the budget preparation process
- Work closely with Commercial & Operations teams during budget preparation to validate variable factors by customer and product
- Year over year variance analysis for cost components
- Latest estimate support (balance sheet / working capital tracking)
- Financial models and other financial support for strategic decision-making, ad hoc projects
- Serve as the main point of consumer planning/research for the global planning team
Requirements
What are the Critical success factors for the Role?
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, in CA CPG environment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA (or working towards designation)
- Experience using SAP S/4 Hana
- Business partnered with Marketing and Sales teams, in CA CPG environment
- Contributed to short- and medium-term planning cycles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
- Exposure / working knowledge of Trade Promotion Management system
- Exposure / working knowledge of Nielsen
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, organisation skills and self- motivated and fast learning professional
- Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and approach to processes
- Positive mindset and flexibility to adapt in a dynamic and demanding growth environment

Benefits
Total Target Compensation Hiring Range: 85,000 USD to 117,600 USD per year
The Total Target Compensation (TTC) at the time of hiring represents the pay range applicable upon commencement of employment. This range is effective from your hire date to March 31, 2026, and comprises both base pay and bonus pay. For further details regarding pay, please consult with your recruiter.
Final compensation for each employee will be determined based on various factors, including—but not limited to—geographical location, knowledge, skills and abilities, relevant experience, and educational background.
In addition to the Total Target Compensation, as part of Tata Consumer Products Canada Inc., this position is eligible for our comprehensive employee benefits program. Benefits include a retirement savings plan, private health coverage, access to Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), leave entitlements, and special TCP discounts.
