About the role
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the design and drafting processes across residential and commercial construction projects, utilizing advanced technical skills and software proficiency. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, schematics, and blueprints using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Civil 3D.
- Develop 3D models and visualizations with SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign to support project presentations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce accurate construction documents for residential and commercial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with design standards.
- Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office tools.
- Conduct analysis of design options considering structural integrity, material specifications, and client requirements.
- Support client meetings by preparing presentation materials demonstrating design concepts using Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ensure all drawings meet industry standards and client expectations through rigorous quality control.
- Maintain organized digital files and documentation for easy access throughout project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience with architectural drafting software including Sketchup and Revit
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent knowledge of blueprint reading, construction processes (residential and commercial), and building codes.
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are highly desirable to facilitate communication with diverse teams and clients.
- Strong analysis skills combined with effective project management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly both verbally and visually.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to construction materials is a plus.
- Educational background or professional experience in architecture or civil engineering is preferred. Pay: Up to $150.00 per month
