Sunnybrook Research Institute is the research enterprise of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, a teaching hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. Research spans three Toronto-based campuses, eight programs and three scientific platforms. Our main aims are to understand and prevent disease, and to develop treatments that enhance and extend life. Our vision is to invent the future of health care. Each year, we conduct about $100 million in research across 500,000 square feet, including in the world’s first Centre for Research in Image-Guided Therapeutics.
Dr. Czarnota's laboratory is conducting basic and clinical research into radiomics-based ultrasound methods for cancer chemotherapy treatment response prediction and monitoring, as well as using new ultrasound-stimulated microbubble methods to enhance effects of radiation-treatments for cancer.
Summary of Duties:

Organizing and conducting ultrasound imaging trials

Organizing and conducting ultrasound therapy trials

Organizing and conducting Health Canada Regulated trials

Other - as needed
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Ph.D. in the last 5 years in biomedical or related sciences
- Recognized certification as a clinical trials specialist is an asset
- Experience with imaging methodologies and image analysis
- Strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in English language usage
- Demonstrated knowledge of research regulations and guidelines
