Your Role The primary responsibility as the Manager, Business Applications is to manage a robust, and responsive team while fostering a collaborative relationship with Magnet’s business stakeholders. This role will own the ongoing management of company-wide business applications that create value for our internal teams. It will require strong people leadership with a passion for creating value through streamlined business processes and is dedicated to producing the highest quality results.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Lead a group of system developers and administrators to manage, maintain, upgrade, deploy and integrate internal business applications.
  • Drive business solutions and streamline operations as more than a “systems” person, you are empowered and expected to drive real improvements to how the business operates.
  • Clearly set, document, and communicate your team’s priorities, ensuring business stakeholders have a clear picture of the team’s work.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage solutions implementation, testing, training, and support.
  • Act as program manager for complex business systems transformations and acquisition integrations.
  • Respond to escalations and incidents by providing high-quality problem-solving support, advice, and guidance to internal customers while maintaining appropriate process and system governance.
  • Establish governance via change calendars, policy reviews and adherence to development process methodology.
  • Drive world class change management practices to ensure rapid deployment of changes with no disruption to the business.

What We Are Looking For

  • We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes. It’s more important to us to find a candidate who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experience they have been a part of, than to find folks who have “been there, done that”. We want to be a part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.
  • Post-Secondary degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, integrating, supporting, and administering business applications, preferably Salesforce.
  • 2+ years of experience directly managing a technical team.
  • Experience managing ERP (NetSuite), CRM (Salesforce) or other business systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects cross-functionally including acquisitions, integrations, new module or system implementations, systems selections and maintenance.
  • Strong business analysis and analytical skills, written and verbal communications, attention to details and organizational skills.
  • Experience evaluating and purchasing software solutions and managing vendor relationships.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).

  • MIN: $93,800 - MID: $134,000 - MAX: $160,800 Currency: CAD
  • MIN: $112,700 - MID: $161,000 - MAX: $193,200 Currency: USD
