About the role
Job purpose: The Material Handling Specialist role is a combination of joint call work with TENAQUIP’s sales representatives, and direct end user calls to identify material handling needs within our customer’s facility and to generate new sales revenue from these opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with TENAQUIP’s material handling vendors to recommend the correct product and oversee installations where required. Vendor training is ongoing.
- Coordinate and schedule trainings between TENAQUIP’s Key Account Managers and Material Handling vendors.
- Complete weekly joint call activity with Key Account Managers to secure sales within their assigned accounts.
- Help plan and schedule customer seminars and/or other sales support activities necessary to drive sales growth in the Material Handling category, working closely with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Meet or exceed growth target expectations.
- Provide necessary reporting on a timely and regular basis.
- Candidate may be required to carry out other responsibilities in order to meet changing business needs.
Requirements:
- University or College level business or sales degree preferred. Formal selling skills training such as CPSA is an asset.
- Minimum 3-5 years material handling sales experience.
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation, in French and in English.
- Ability to read and develop CAD drawings an asset.
- Proven success in sales and business development.
- Highly effective presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to multitask.
- Proficient with MS Office suite.
- Possess a valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to spend the required time visiting customer sites in Laval, North Shore and Montreal East.
