About the role
Hooper Law is looking for an experienced law clerk or paralegal for a downtown Hamilton personal injury practice.
With decades of legal experience in protecting and promoting victims’ rights, our team of specialized personal injury lawyers and professional staff have a well-earned reputation for helping victims get the justice they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines
- Manage and prepare litigation files
- Liaise with clients and professionals
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence as required
- Assist lawyers in preparation for discoveries, mediations, pre-trials, and trials
Qualifications
- Licensed Paralegal in good standing and/or Law Clerk diploma
- Minimum of 5 years work experience
- Understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure, Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule
- Proficiency in MS Office, and legal software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and attention to detail
