What you’ll be doing

The Marketing Communications Co-op is a key member of the Business Partner Marketing team that is responsible for the planning and implementation of all marketing communications tied to launching and growing key strategic businesses, including credit cards, mortgages and lending, insurance, among others.

As a member of the Marketing Communications team you will be responsible for coordinating communications and supporting key operational and administrative activities in support of our team members. The role applies basic theories to accomplish small-scope assignments, following detailed instructions and documented procedures

Important Information

  • Duration of term: Winter Term 4 months (January 2026 - April 2026)
  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-op program to be considered for this role.
  • You are a university student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • You have a strong knowledge of MS Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • You must be legally eligible to work within Canada.
  • Please include your resume (no more than 2 pages), a cover letter (no more than 1 page), and your most recent unofficial transcript with your application. These should all be uploaded as a single pdf document.
  • We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation, coding, French proficiency, MS Office). Our goal for the application process is to get to know more about you, all that you have to offer, and give you the opportunity to learn more about us.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - to interact with a wide range of individuals in a wide range of situations, which usually requires tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • Strong initiative and self-managing skills - to be able to work independently with very little direction and to respond effectively to issues as well as potential issues that may arise.
  • Advanced technical skills - in software packages such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, desktop publishing etc., as well as various types of office equipment.
  • Decisiveness and good judgement - required to effectively operate the executive office, typically in the executive’s absence.
