Senior Accountant
Milton, ON | Fully On-Site | $80,000–$100,000
Envy Consulting Group is conducting a confidential search for a Senior Accountant on behalf of a boutique public accounting firm in Milton. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced public accounting professional who can independently manage year-end engagements, prepare corporate and personal tax returns, work directly with clients, and support junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Manage compilation and year-end engagements for privately held businesses Prepare financial statements, working papers, and adjusting journal entries Prepare and review T1, T2, T3, and GST/HST returns Complete reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies Respond to CRA correspondence, reviews, and client inquiries Manage multiple client files from planning through completion Provide practical accounting and tax guidance to clients Review work completed by junior accountants and bookkeepers Qualifications Minimum three years of experience within a Canadian public accounting or CPA firm Strong experience with compilation engagements and year-end files Hands-on experience preparing T1, T2, and GST/HST returns Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax requirements Experience managing client relationships and competing deadlines Familiarity with CaseWare, CaseView, Taxprep, Profile, QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage CPA designation or active progress toward completion is preferred What Is Offered Salary of $80,000–$100,000, based on experience Direct client ownership and meaningful engagement responsibility Exposure to diverse businesses and tax matters Mentorship from experienced accounting professionals Long-term career growth within a supportive boutique firm
