  • Salary range for Power Engineer 3rd class based upon certification:

  • Class 3 Power Engineer $32.82

  • Millwright Dual Ticket $39.01

  • Electrician Dual Ticket $39.91

  • Schedule: 8 hour shift (Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) + availability for overtime and call ins

  • Boot and/or tool allowance

Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Winnipeg, as the Power Engineer 3rd class :

  • Operate and maintain steam boiler, and other utility equipment in accordance with MB Safety Authority regulations.
  • Prepare and monitor starch batches used in the manufacturing process, ensuring proper consistency, quality, and supply for production needs.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues within the steam plant.
  • Monitor and record system readings, maintain logbooks, and report any abnormalities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Support other maintenance tasks and participate in plant shutdowns and startups.
  • Collaborate with the production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

  • A valid 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate, MB is required for this position.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
  • Able to read and understand specifications and drawings and computer literacy.
  • Thorough understanding of Safety program procedures
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
