About the role

Job Description

As a Production Manager at Ubi Toronto, you will break down a game vision into a roadmap of achievable milestones and focus the day-to-day efforts of a production team to reach them.

While overseeing your direct reports, you will define, plan, prioritize, communicate, and track project deliverables.

You will maintain a broad view of the production floor, with a realistic understanding of team capabilities, clear awareness of interdependencies, and a strong grasp of the steps required to achieve objectives. You will ensure your team is equipped to deliver high-quality features and content to players—on time and in a supportive environment.

What you’ll do

Partner with the core team to understand the overall game vision and requirements Define and plan the scope of your deliverables (e.g. level art, audio, UI, VFX, missions, economy, gameplay rules, etc.), build production schedules, and develop strategies Regularly meet with your team to assign tasks, review progress and challenges, communicate milestones, prioritize deliverables, present updates, address concerns, and gather feedback Track, monitor, and analyze the production schedule; adjust scope and strategies as needed Provide your team with the tools and structure needed to work efficiently and deliver quality (documentation, pipelines, reviews, communication channels, etc.) Coordinate approvals and debugging of deliverables, and keep team leads up to date on progress and risks Collaborate with other production managers to ensure consistency, remove blockers, and mitigate risks Prepare and evaluate post-mortems to continuously improve production processes Support recruitment efforts to build your team and foster the professional growth and career progression of its members Conduct annual performance evaluations for your team members

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Project Management, Business, Administration, or equivalent 3–5 years of management or related experience (experience in the video game industry or as a Scrum Master is an asset) Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Jira) Ability to balance shifting short-term priorities with long-term objectives Collaborative, attentive, empathetic, and solution-oriented mindset Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong critical thinking, curiosity, resourcefulness, and adaptability Knowledge of Agile principles is an asset
