What we are recruiting for:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager with experience in IT Transformation. You will lead the end-to-end development and delivery of multiple IT and business change projects within the Core Renewals Portfolio. Ensure delivery meets cost, time, quality, and safety objectives in line with clients governance, standards and programme. This will be a fixed term contract circa 6 - 12 months
Roles & responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and control project delivery across the Core Renewals Portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and IT investment plans.
- Monitor progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where necessary.
- Maintain accurate reporting and artefacts for health checks and periodic reviews.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, sponsors, and delivery teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project escalations and decision-making.
- Manage commercial contracts and supplier performance to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Support transition to outcome-based delivery models for IT services.
- Lead and motivate delivery teams, including matrix-managed resources.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and safety.
Experience & background:
- Formal programme/project management qualifications (e.g., APM, MSP, PRINCE2).
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale IT projects with business change elements.
- Strong commercial acumen and supplier management experience.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
