About the role

Location: Frisco, Colorado

Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Three vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village areas host lodging, retail outlets, restaurants, bars, and family activities. During the winter months, Copper's world-class terrain offers skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience. Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $17.50 to $19.10+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
  • This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary Stocking of all store products and supplies as needed. Maintain clean appearance of store inside and out. Accurate reporting of funds and cash handling skills. Knowledge of products, area and resort. Must be willing to learn basic skills needed to assist in other departments within the building.

To cashier in a fast paced convenience store. Days will vary-available shifts vary from as early as 6:30 am to as late as 9 pm. Retail experience, cash handling, computer, and people skills required. Must be able to work any shift, lift 50 pounds, shovel snow, and have exceptional grooming standards. Positive attitude and teamwork attitude required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and courteous customer service.
  • Accurate and quick cash handling skills of all funds tendered.
  • Assist foreman with the completion of the "Daily Report" as turned into Accounting.
  • Assist foreman with the completion of all SOP duties daily.
  • Maintain a clean and healthy store environment for our guests.
  • Maintain store products in a neat and orderly fashion for guests.
  • Assist foreman with the ordering of store products and supplies.
  • Maintain inventory with entering product information into the point of sales system.
  • Assist foreman with entering product information into the point of sales system.
  • Price store products as needed.
  • Stock store products and rotate perishables as needed.
  • Remove snow from all fuel islands and walkways.
  • Strong knowledge of Copper Mountain Resort and surrounding areas and disseminate information in a friendly and courteous manner to all guests.
  • Dip and record all fuel tank information as needed.
  • Remove snow, ice, and water from the fuel tank filling areas.
  • Assists with overall restroom cleanliness and duties when needed

Basic Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform snow and ice removal as required
  • Climb, stoop, and bend to stock shelves
  • Stand for several hours as needed.
  • Must own non-slip shoes
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Experience And Special Skills

  • High School or equivalent
  • Retail sales, fast food, or convenience store experience helpful.

About Copper Mountain Resort

Copper Mountain Resort is The Athlete's Mountain. Located in Summit County, Colorado, about 75 miles (121 km) west of Denver on Interstate 70, the resort opened in late 1971. Iit was owned and operated by Intrawest until Dec. 2009, when operations were transferred to Powdr Adventure Lifestyle Co.

The ski area features beginner slopes on the western side of the mountain, intermediate slopes in the center, and expert terrain on the eastern side. Advanced "double black diamond"​ slopes are located on the two peaks above 12,000 feet (Copper and Union Peaks), including four expert-only bowls: Copper Bowl, Union Bowl, Spaulding Bowl, and Resolution Bowl. Copper Mountain Ski Resort has 2,465 acres of in-bounds terrain under lease from the United States Forest Service, White River National Forest, Dillon Ranger District.
