Your Job
As an Investment Banking Vice President, the individual will actively participate in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior members of the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure (“PU&I”) Investment Banking team and will be expected to have a strong understanding of the industry sector as part of their responsibilities.
The individual will have a number of responsibilities which include the following:
- Marketing, executing and structuring investment banking mandates focused on M&A, other strategic advisory, project financings, and capital markets transactions;
- Managing the preparation of presentations and other client materials for clients;
- Overseeing the building of, and maintaining complex financial/valuation models;
- Coordinating company and industry research;
- Managing several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team;
- Providing mentorship, oversight and guidance to Associates and Analysts; and
- Participating in the recruitment, development and training of junior team members.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of relevant investment banking or M&A experience;
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or a field related to the sector of activity;
- Relevant experience and prior client relationships in the power, utilities, and infrastructure sectors;
- Strong technical skills in financial modeling and analytical problem-solving;
- Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders;
- FINRA Series 7, 63, 79 preferred; MBA, CPA, or CFA considered assets;
- Ability to work on-site in the New York City office at least 4 days a week;
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
