Plate/Tank Estimator

They are currently seeking a Plate/Tank Estimator to join their expanding team. This role offers competitive compensation, opportunities for professional growth, and a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates for plate and tank fabrication projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs
Develop competitive bids and proposals based on client specifications and industry requirements
Review technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to determine project scope and requirements
Identify potential challenges, material requirements, and opportunities for cost optimization
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing for materials and services
Communicate with clients to clarify project details and ensure expectations are clearly understood
Maintain detailed documentation of estimates, quotations, and project cost data
Provide reports and insights to support management decision-making
Stay current with industry standards, fabrication technologies, and market trends to ensure accurate and competitive estimates
Qualifications Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in plate and tank fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency with estimating software
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
Solid knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
