Jardeg is currently recruiting for aCarpenter Apprenticeto join the Sherwood Care project team inSherwood Park, AB!
The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday. The shift may include extended hours and weekends, as required by the site.
Responsibilities:
- Build forms for concrete
- Cut, shape, and join
- Look for and fix deficiencies
- Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
- Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Study blueprints for work planning
- Use various hand tools (knowledge & experience with)
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
- Perform labourer duties in addition to carpentry work
Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates that are registered apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
- Buildings/commercial experience an asset
- Experience with concrete formwork required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
- Reliable transportation to get to work
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
