Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking to fill a Metal Fabricator/Assembler position for our day shifts. Do you have experience working with a grinder, and hand tools? Then this is the position for you! In this role, you will be assisting in the assembly and fabrication of custom architectural aluminum panels. The position is located at our Mississauga Branch which is located at Airport Road and Derry in Mississauga. This position will be reporting to the Metals Production Manager.

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am -3:30pm

Responsibilities: Assembler Metals

• Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from surfaces of metal products

• Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools

• Clean machines and immediate work areas

• Transport raw materials finished products and equipment throughout the plant manually or using powered equipment

• Polish metal products to mirror finish

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings

• Use hand tools like drills, rivet guns, and grinder

• Use measuring equipment including measuring tape, vernier caliper, and micrometer

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to Read a Tape Measure

• Ability to work independently

• Detail Oriented

• Can stand for 8 hours a day

• Has worked with various hand tools

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Can interpret drawings, calculate angles, measure and mark up material
