Public Relations Account Manager

Swerve is looking for a PR Account Manager who’s ready to step out of the Senior Specialist lane and into a more client-facing, strategic role within a fast-paced agency environment. If you thrive in agency life and want to help shape programs—not just execute them—this role is for you.
Agency experience is a MUST.
What You’ll Do As a PR Account Manager at Swerve, you’ll lead day-to-day client relationships while driving smart, results-oriented PR programs.
Client & Program Leadership Own day-to-day client communications and account management Lead execution of PR programs while ensuring KPIs are met (and exceeded) Develop, track, and optimize program KPIs—flagging opportunities and course-correcting when needed Manage client budgets, ensuring work stays within scope and forecasting proactively
Strategy & Planning Develop thoughtful, tailored PR plans aligned to client goals and target audiences Lead and contribute to strategic brainstorms and planning sessions Stay ahead of industry trends to educate clients and internal teams
Team Leadership Manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality support across accounts Review and oversee reporting (weekly coverage, monthly reports, wrap reports) Contribute to performance feedback, hiring, and team development
Media, Influencers & Execution Draft and edit media materials (press releases, briefing books, fact sheets, etc.) Build and maintain existing strong media relationships Lead and manage influencer programs, including FTC compliance, budgets, contracts, and deliverables Vet and manage third-party vendors (freelancers, creatives, production partners, etc.)
Agency Growth & Culture Participate in new business pitches and presentations Support awards submissions, case studies, and agency marketing materials Represent Swerve and clients at events and trade shows Contribute to agency social media as needed
What We’re Looking For 4–6+ years of PR experience, with agency experience required Currently a Senior PR Specialist or similar, ready to take on more strategic and client-facing responsibility Proven experience managing media relations and integrated PR programs Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Experience managing budgets, timelines, and junior team members Deep understanding of influencer marketing and FTC regulations Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial agency environment
