The municipality of Crowsnest Pass is located in the Crowsnest Pass of the Rocky Mountains in southwest Alberta, Canada. The area offers hiking, fishing, and mountain biking in the summer, and snowmobiling, downhill and cross- country skiing in the winter. As a Dietitian I reporting to the Manager, Nutrition Services South Zone, you would be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition care plans for clients in acute care, continuing care, supportive living, and adult and pediatric outpatients in Crowsnest Pass. This position offers a variety of experiences in a rural setting and you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in Crowsnest Pass Health Center. You may also facilitate virtual and face to face group nutrition sessions, using nutrition counselling for behavior change as appropriate to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. Apply today!
Description:
As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. You may be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans. You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings. Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence based nutrition information.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience in acute care setting. Experience with enteral nutrition. Experience with Diabetes and Weight Management. Experience with nutrition counselling for behavior change. Demonstrated effective group facilitation skills. Knowledge and experience with virtual health applications for client care (Zoom, telehealth and teleconference).
