About the role
Falkbuilt is a Digital Component Construction company in need of an experienced Journeyman Millwright to join our company as part of the Maintenance team. We have over 90,000 sq feet of industrial manufacturing space and machinery that needs regular maintenance. Falkbuilt is a start up company that is looking for qualified individuals that know their stuff and are willing to work hard! You will never be bored at Falk - there is always something to do. You must be a team player who can think on your feet. Tired of being on the road? We might be the right fit for you. Your schedule will be 4 days on, 4 days off (12 hour shifts) ensuring you will have time to do what you love on your days off! You must be easy going, knowledgeable, willing to learn our operation, and like dogs! We offer a very competitive compensation package including health, dental, vison care and disability coverage.
Qualification and Skill Requirements
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must hold a valid provincial certification as a Journeyperson Millwright License
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with machinery installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
- A Class 5 (Non-GDL) License and a clean driver’s abstract (Strong Asset)
- Must be fluent in the English language – written, verbal and reading skills.
- Computer skills ability to learn technology devices (phones, equipment)
- Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Have excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
- Must be physically fit and able to stand, walk, sit for long periods at a time.
- Have exceptional attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation.
- Efficiently communicate important information to the opposite shift to ensure smooth transitions.
