We are recruiting for a QualityInnovations Student to provide administrativesupportto theQuality and Innovation Department andReceptionist duties withinEmpower Simcoe. This is a full-time position starting as soon as April 20, 2026, for approximately 4-5 months. This position works up to 37.5 hours biweekly with an hourly rate of pay of $21.43. Please note that this position is contingent upon funding approval through the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs program.
Minimum requirements of these positions include:
- Completion ofsecondary school and enrolled in a post-secondaryeducationin Office Administration oran acceptable equivalent diploma/degree program asdeterminedby the employer.
- Work related experience is an asset
- Demonstrated skills inbuilding relationships, problem solving and decision making,self-awareness,championingchangeand innovation.
- Excellent written and verbalcommunicationsskills.
- Knowledge andIntermediate skillswith computer operations and software applications.
- Current valid driver's licence and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment.
- Strong organizational skillsandattention to detail
- Result drivenwith proven research abilities.
Duties and responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Filing hard copyand electronicdocuments to records for people supported.
- Maintaining onsite records storage by coordinating the retrieval,cullingand destruction of records
- Assistingstaff and people supported to access and share records ensuring confidentiality and protection of privacy is maintained
- Providing administrativeassistanceto theQuality and Innovation team including Central Records, asrequired
- Performingdaily fire and health and safety checks for assigned work location
- Distributing internal and external mail
- Assistingwith research related to Empower Simcoe's program areas and J2B readiness.
- Assistingwith research related to Outside paid Resources in Simcoe County
- Performing other duties, special assignments as required by theManageror persons above that rank
