Title: QA Automation Engineer (Python & Data Testing) Location: Halifax, NS (Hybrid) Duration: 24+ Months

Note: 4 days/week hybrid

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based automation, database testing, and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable automation frameworks and validating data-intensive applications, with exposure to modern AI-assisted tools for productivity.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python Implement and execute automated test cases using Robot Framework (preferred) Perform end-to-end data validation with a focus on database testing (SQL and/or Snowflake) Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and/or Airflow Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and product teams to ensure high-quality releases Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and drive resolution Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cortex) to enhance testing efficiency and productivity Ensure adherence to best practices in test automation, coding standards, and version control

Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in software testing and automation Strong expertise in Python scripting for test automation Hands-on experience with Robot Framework (highly desirable) Solid experience in database testing using SQL and/or Snowflake Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Airflow Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, SDLC, and QA methodologies Hands-on experience with API testing and data validation Familiarity with AI-powered development/testing tools (e.g., Copilot, Cortex)

Nice to Have: Experience with test management tools such as qTest Exposure to Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
