The location in Mississauga, (Ontario, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Sr. Director, Sales and Marketing. This job is full-time permanent.
The Sr. DIrector, Sales and Marketing Ariva is responsible to lead and manage all aspects of Sales and Marketing activities across Canada and is a key member of the Ariva Leadership team. They are responsible for leading, developing, and executing sales and marketing strategies to meet or exceed sales revenue, volume, margin, profitability, and cost budget objectives. They will develop go to market business plans, align sales and marketing groups to achieve our growth objectives, manage and develop people, as well as manage senior level Customer and Supplier relationships.
Sales
- Responsible for leading and directing the sales teams to meet or exceed sales revenue (price and volume), profitability and budgetary objectives. They create and execute a go-to-market business plan, operational strategies, manage and develop people, negotiate complex sales deals through strong relationships with senior level management at customers and suppliers, and leverage the use of technology and sales processes across their teams to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
Marketing – Responsible to support the sales organization, driving the company’s brand and digital presence through various promotional programs and our on-line store. They will work closely with the sales organization, suppliers, and cross-functional internal groups to deliver sales support, advertising and promotional materials in order to deliver the required sales support materials to drive our sales strategies. They will work closely with sales management to lead, innovate, and drive our price management systems.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Development and execution of sales and marketing plan, optimize organizational structure to meet strategies
- Continuously collect, monitor, analyze and effectively communicate market intelligence to refine strategies, maintain a competitive edge and identify new revenue opportunities.
- Lead product marketing efforts for product launches, utilizing digital marketing strategies including search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, social media and content creation to build brand awareness and drive traffic.
- Manage senior level customer and supplier relationships and expectations
- Work cross functionally to deliver on strategic direction of Ariva
- Attract, develop, retain, and mentor high talent people (internally and externally).
The Successful Incumbent will have:

Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA is an asset

Minimum 15 years’ experience in sales/marketing, at least 5 years in a sales/marketing leadership role

In-depth industry experience (Graphics and/or distribution business)

Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed yearly sales targets
-
Ability to lead and influence (directly and indirectly) a cross functional team of people.

Leverages technology, where appropriate, including CRM adoption and virtual selling practices

Strong business acumen, including strong understanding of P&L drivers

Project management skills
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with an SAP operating system is an asset.
