2001 IT Manager (Infrastructure and ERP experience preferred)
We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead and support all aspects of the company’s IT operations within a manufacturing environment. This individual will serve as the primary on-site IT leader, partnering closely with internal teams, leadership, customers, and vendors to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in infrastructure, networking, and overall IT operations, along with the ability to work closely with the business and provide practical leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations across the organization Serve as the primary on-site (“boots on the ground”) IT leader and escalation point Oversee and support infrastructure, networking, systems administration, and overall IT environment Ensure stability, security, and performance of network and server infrastructure Partner with business leaders and department managers to align technology initiatives with operational needs Coordinate with external vendors, customers, and technology partners as needed Support and guide IT team members and help desk operations when necessary Participate in IT planning, project execution, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain IT policies, procedures, documentation, and best practices Assist with troubleshooting complex technical issues and provide hands-on support when required Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred 5+ years of progressive IT leadership and infrastructure experience Strong background in: Network administration and infrastructure management Systems administration and IT operations IT troubleshooting and technical support Experience working within a manufacturing environment Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining hands-on technically Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization Proven ability to partner with business leaders and translate operational needs into technology solutions Preferred Qualifications Prior experience leading or supporting help desk functions Exposure to Epicor ERP systems or manufacturing ERP environments Experience with application development or software integrations Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in both on-premise and cloud environments Familiarity with cybersecurity and IT best practices within manufacturing operations This is a hands-on working manager role ideal for someone who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with day-to-day technical involvement.
