We have an opportunity for an Immunology Strategic Operations (ISO) Lead to join the Commercial Leadership team. The ISO Lead is responsible for 3 key areas of the Immunology business unit: Elevate commercial operations; drive portfolio strategy and cross-immunology initiatives and lead strategic projects and Humira life-cycle management. In this critical and strategic role, the incumbent will be supported by a team, including a Sr. Manager, a Project Manager and Network Managers.

The ISO Lead is an integral member of the Immunology Leadership Team and works closely with Business Unit Heads and Functional Leads to deliver executional excellence.

The incumbent will be based in Montreal and will report to the Business Unit Director, Immunology.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy

  • Support the development and execution of a portfolio strategic plan that leverages key insights from all therapeutic areas (TA) and drives AbbVie’s Immunology leadership.
  • Develop and manage cross-functional initiatives and programs that support strategic imperatives.
  • Ensure alignment of marketing initiatives across the business units.
  • Collaborate closely with business unit teams to nurture a portfolio mindset and approach.
  • Champion opportunities and key projects that involve more than one therapeutic area.
  • Foster team spirit and exchanges among the Immunology marketing teams.
  • Champion continuous improvement of sales force effectiveness across the Immunology portfolio.
  • Cooperate with key functions on initiatives to upscale field teams' capabilities and competencies including competitive selling, coaching framework, and business insights while ensuring consistency across TA.

Strategic Projects and Humira Life-Cycle Management

  • Support the development of Immunology strategic roadmap.
  • Drive various strategic workstreams to deliver on Immunology ambition and roadmap.
  • Drive Humira profitability through various life-cycle management initiatives.
  • Coordinate finance planning process across TAs (LRP, PLN).
  • Support leadership meetings and business reviews.

Commercial Operations

  • Drive the development of strategic reports, scorecards and dashboards.

  • Drive endorsement of standard metrics and dashboards across all levels of the Immunology division.

  • Establish relevant and measurable KPIs/key metrics to track performance and drive meaningful insights.

  • Work closely with global and local affiliates to align on standard KPIs and establish benchmarking and best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Excellence teams to develop and optimize programs, tools, dashboards, and processes for a flawless implementation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, science or health care. Related or equivalent field may also be considered.
  • Relevant business experience with proven track record of success within biotech/pharmaceutical industry:
    • Minimum five years marketing experience; experience within relevant therapeutic area is considered an asset.
    • Pharmaceutical sales experience. Sales management experience considered an asset.
    • Additional commercial cross-functional experience considered an asset.
    • Experience in leading people and building high performance teams is considered an asset.
    • Successful launch experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge of financial processes, market access, and the regulatory environment is required.
  • Proven track record of taking in diverse data and perspectives in the development of insights-based strategies focused on doing what is right for the customer, the team, and the business.
