Regional Sales Manager - Gatineau, Ottawa, Eastern Ontario Territory
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining sales across the Gatineau, Ottawa and Eastern Ontario territory.
The incumbent acts as the commercial lead for its territory and is the main representative of St-Albert Cheese with clients in the region. The Regional Sales Manager maintains a regular field presence to develop sales, support the company’s commercial initiatives, maintain quality business relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities. The incumbent implements the strategies and priorities established by sales management and contributes to achieving the territory’s growth objectives.
YOUR CHALLENGES
Develop sales and ensure growth within the Gatineau, Ottawa and Eastern Ontario territory. Maintain and develop strong business relationships with retailers, distributors and foodservice clients. Represent St-Albert Cheese in the territory and maintain a regular presence with clients. Deploy promotional programs and support the company’s commercial initiatives. Identify new business opportunities and maintain active monitoring of the market and competition. Contribute to achieving sales, distribution and brand visibility objectives across the territory. Collaborate with internal teams and merchandisers to ensure excellence in field execution.
WHAT YOU HAVE
College or university diploma in a relevant field. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales, representation or business development, ideally in the food or consumer products sector. Knowledge of the Gatineau, Ottawa and Eastern Ontario market is an important asset. Valid driver’s licence and availability to travel frequently within the territory. Strong skills in sales, business development and account management. Excellent ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships. Strong organizational skills, autonomy and discipline in following up on priorities. Good understanding of retail, foodservice and distributor networks. Analytical ability to interpret sales results and competitor activities. Positive leadership, coaching skills and the ability to mobilize a small field team. Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Customer-service and results-oriented approach. Autonomy, initiative and professionalism. Flexibility and intellectual curiosity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English. Ability to manage multiple tasks through prioritization and organization. Good command of computer tools, including the Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems. Bilingual in French and English.
