This is a leadership role in cross-functional teams and regularly interacts with RDQ and cross-functional senior management.
How You Will Contribute You will lead regional and sub-regional teams to deliver on the quality strategy, providing sufficient resources and expertise to appropriate functions and locations. You will manage, lead, coach and develop a team of quality experts to execute regional and global quality programs, ensuring compliance with Mondelēz policies and procedures and adherence to external regional and local food safety/regulatory requirements in internal and external manufacturing locations and facilities. In this role, you will develop and report quality KPIs, applying your understanding of the impact regional KPIs have on the global business. In addition, you will facilitate communities of practice on quality related topics; represent the quality function at R&D meetings to ensure that sufficient resources and expertise are allocated to significant projects, and to ensure there are sufficient resources available so products meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements; identify quality enhancements and improvements across R&D and the supply chain; partner with technical groups such as food safety/micro and sanitation to ensure program compliance and enhancement, and; help manage special situations and early warnings with respect to plant investigations, root-cause analysis and follow-up for the SSMT, protecting Mondelēz’s interests and reputation.

Job Scope This position, reporting to the Director of Quality Programs, Compliance, and Excellence, leads the North America Quality Region in support of Vision 2030, driving strategic initiatives and improving organizational effectiveness. As a trusted advisor to the Vice President of the North America Quality and the extended quality leadership team, this role will support setting priorities, managing cross functional efforts and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The incumbent will drive efficiency and transformation initiatives in consumer, compliance and culture for the quality function and drive the
Responsibilities Strategic and Operational Support
- Facilitate quarterly and annual strategic talent and performance reviews ensuring alignment with strategy and budget
- Partner with the NA Quality team in the development and prioritization of masterplan workstreams and initiatives. Schedule and set up regular connects for the masterplan update, to identify delays in delivering the priorities and milestones and identify support needed to bring back on track.
- Reviews and sets yearly meetings (scope, frequency, attendees, etc.) for Quality LT and extended teams to achieve a one quality mindset
- Organizes and facilitates (or manage facilitation if delegated) various face to face connects set for the year with the team
Cross Functional Coordination
- Ensure a QA strategy which translates into business and consumer experience results and communicate these goals/KPIs and results through regular reporting to the NA Leadership Team.
- Be a core team member and represent NA on the global Quality Policy team. Work with NA teams to seek feedback on policy changes.
- Representative the NA region in the Budget planning process ensuring that yearly spends stay within the approved AC budget
- Develop a strategic plan for implementing quality programs to achieve and maintain analytical excellence.
Project and Program Oversight
- Acts as the NA culture of quality lead and drives various cultural initiates as well as people capability as set at the start of the year
- Build the yearly communication strategy for NA quality and roll out plan with the end goal of increasing connectivity, improve engagement and drive a cultural shift
- Management of NA QA townhall schedule and agenda
- Lead special projects related to driving culture initiatives – J2Five; Rewards and recognition, culture coalition ,
- Drive Capability building strategy and plan for NA QA
Internal and External Environment
- This role is part of the NA Quality Leadership Team and will interact with all areas of Execution, Programs and Commercial and Supplier Quality.
- Corporate Quality: Interaction with other regional Quality Directors for alignment on quality programs. Linkage with Shared Service Quality Directors (Food Safety, Micro, Auditing, Risk Management).
Education/Certification
- Minimum B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related Sciences
- Minimum 5+ years related experience (Quality, Supply Chain, Food Safety &/or R&D)
Job specific requirements:
- Understanding of RD, Quality and Supply Chain processes, organizational dynamics and quality culture
- Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and executive presence, capable with interfacing with senior leaders and technical staff.
- High analytical, with strong attention to detail and bias for action.
- Highly proficient computer (MS Office) and Communication skills (Verbal and Written) are required
- Travel requirements: Approximately 20% - 30% travel may be required for key project needs
