Summary The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and seamless outgoing shipments. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for generating shipping documents, and customs documents (if required), and scheduling freight appointments . Other responsibilities will include the inspection of outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality. The Logistics Coordinator must understand the impact of this position on other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing items. Inventory management and vendor relations with shipping companies are essential functions for this position.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipping, customs, and freight documentation; maintain accurate records for tracking and reporting.
• Schedule shipments, create daily shipping plans, and coordinate freight appointments.
• Track shipments, verify receipts, and resolve issues related to missing documentation, shipments, or deliveries.
• Ensure all shipments contain complete and accurate documentation, including itemized lists when applicable.
• Match products to shipping orders and inspect outgoing goods to confirm saleable condition and quality prior to release.
• Prepare the shipping dock and oversee the secure, accurate loading of outbound shipments.
• Operate forklifts or electric pallet jacks safely to move outbound products; lift and handle materials in accordance with documented procedures.
• Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Perform quality checks and report any discrepancies or issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Follow established standards and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse role preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred, with demonstrated ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.
• Computer literate, including working knowledge of Excel and email systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to weigh and measure items accurately.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, with good organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and positive team attitude.

Working Conditions

• Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
• Overtime as required.
• Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. may be required.
• Work is performed in a combination of environments.
• This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.

Position Details

• Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm (Onsite)
• Based in Mississauga, Ontario
• Hourly rate from $21.00 to $23.00
