STATUS: Regular, Part-Time
CLASSIFICATION: FM I
UNION: CUPE Local 3052
HOURS OF WORK: Minimum of 20 hours per week with varying shifts (including evenings & weekends)
WAGES: $34.00 - $35.45 per hour
We have an opening for a regular, part-time Facilities Maintenance I position. Reporting to a designated supervisor, the incumbent will maintain, clean and repair recreation and pool facilities, equipment and exterior grounds and provide assistance to the public/users in accordance with established policies.
The preferred candidate will have a valid minimum Class 5 Driver’s License; valid Ice Facility Operator Certificate or Refrigeration Operator Certificate; valid Pool Operator’s Certification (Level I or equivalent); valid Icemaker’s Certification; working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, heating and mechanical systems and First Aid training. Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory for this job. Preference will be given to candidates with CPR, WHMIS, SCBA, Confined Space training.
