Your Opportunity:
Do you feel that cooking is as much art as skill? Do you take pride in seeing guests enjoy the meals you have prepared? Come join our culinary team!
As a Cook, you will prepare and cook a wide variety of food. You may be responsible for basic food preparation like salads and sandwiches or more complex tasks. Depending on the size of the kitchen, you may have exposure to several responsibilities.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Relevant diploma, certification or experience
- Registration in an apprenticeship program is an asset
- Knowledge of rethermalization of prepared foods
- Developing knowledge of all cooking methods such as roasting, stewing etc.
- Ability to deal with a fast-paced, high pressure environment
Responsibilities:
- Food preparation
- Prepare and cook individual dishes or entire meals
- Ensure sanitary cooking conditions and appropriate safe food handling
- May have to monitor or guide kitchen staff
- May assist in menu development

Mount Washington Alpine Resort is a privately owned resort community, open year round, located near the very popular Comox Valley. Fully serviced by the divided inland Island Highway to the base of the hill, a paved all season Strathcona Parkway brings skiers, hikers and alpine enthusiasts of all walks to the Resort area. Development plans for the coming years will help maintain Mount Washington's position in the ever growing tourism industry on Vancouver Island.
