Help students thrive by supporting their health and nutrition. Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Nutrition Coordinator for Bon Accord School.
FTE: 0.5 FTE; Part-Time Permanent
This position is part of the Alberta School Nutrition Program and ensures students have access to safe, healthy meals during the school day. Working closely with staff and volunteers, the Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals while maintaining safe food handling practices.
What You'll Be Doing
- Plan and prepare menus that align with Alberta School Nutrition Program guidelines
- Order and maintain inventory of food and cooking supplies
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitary conditions are maintained at all times
- Prepare and serve meals during scheduled periods
- Supervise and support students and/or volunteers in the program
- Ensure safety protocols are followed consistently
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or Post-Secondary Diploma/Certificate
- Safe Food Handling Course
- Experience in food preparation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
- Equivalent combinations of education, knowledge, and experience may be considered
- Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
