About City Hill Construction Inc.

Construction
11-50 employees

City Hill Construction was founded in 1972 by Bruce Hansen in Penn Yan, NY. With his hard work ethic, reliability, and passion for giving back to the community, Bruce was able to grow the business and expanded his fleet trucks and equipment well into the 1990’s. Bruce passed away in 1999 and left the business to his son Tim, who operated the business for another 13 years.

In 2013 Dale Stell bought the business along with his two nephews Ryan Stell and Jared Miller. Since then, we have grown the business from 13 employees to over 30 today by expanding into commercial site and excavating work, while continuing to service their residential customers as well. Our dedicated and hardworking employees continue play a huge part in our success to satisfy our clients by safely completing projects on time and within budget. This has allowed us to build great relationships with our customers and has provided many repeat customers year after year.

Since 2013 we have expanded the company’s fleet of trucks and equipment by investing in late model equipment and new technologies such as computer-based takeoff and estimating software to help us be more efficient bidding projects, and GPS machine control on our equipment to be more productive on our job sites.

We hope to continue our growth in the future, while also continuing to carry on the legacy that Bruce started.
