A premier Canadian luxury retailer specializing in fine jewellery and timepieces is seeking an experienced and inspiring Store Manager to lead one of their boutique locations. As Store Director, you will be at the helm of day-to-day retail operations, championing sales performance, operational effectiveness, team engagement, and the delivery of a premium client experience. Description
- Leadership & Sales Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed individual and store targets. Actively participate in sales, contributing 8–10% of store volume, and model exceptional client service and relationship-building techniques.
- Client Experience
- Ensure an elevated in-store experience that reflects the brand’s values of trust, elegance, and expertise. Resolve client concerns with a solution-focused approach and build long-term relationships through clienteling.
- Team Performance & Engagement
- Provide clear direction, daily feedback, and ongoing performance management. Support professional development through training, goal setting, and a collaborative leadership style.
- Operational Oversight
- Oversee store operations including inventory control, visual merchandising, timepiece allocation, and compliance with financial processes. Ensure POS accuracy, transaction reconciliation, and proper handling of accounts receivable.
- HR & Compliance
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, timecard approvals, and ongoing training requirements. Support the execution of company policies and learning platforms.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing retail team without micromanaging.
- Experience in a luxury or high-commission retail environment.
- Strong client relationship, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- Hands-on leadership style and willingness to support daily operations when needed.
- Strong business acumen, organization, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Retail Management, or equivalent experience.
