The Opportunity
The Director of Regional Operations is responsible to support the leadership teams within and across diverse and complex Continuing Care communities. Ensuring that quality services are delivered across the full continuum of care to meet key strategic directions, operational plans, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
This is a hybrid position that requires travel to sites across the East Region, including North York, Ajax, Oshawa, Markham, Toronto, Scarborough, and Aurora.

What You Will Do
- Act as a resource person to home Administrators to assist them in the interpretation of the Long-Term Care Act and Regulations, AgeCare’s standards, policies and programs as well as any other program/services affecting home operations.
- Visit the homes on a scheduled basis, or as directed, to evaluate operational effectiveness.
- Actively support a high level of Service Commitment in each home.
- Prepare written reports within established timelines and adjacent to the home visits. After discussion with the home Administrator and DOC outline the areas of opportunity, next steps and follow up dates. Identify areas of achievement and success, work with Vice President Resident Care Services to coordinate Consultant support as required.
- Coordinate and participate in special assignments and/or projects as may be required to support identified operational and care program changes.
- Regularly evaluate operational processes to determine if current programs and/ or policies are resulting in improved service delivery to the Home and to the residents and staff.
What You Will Need
- Undergraduate Degree in Business Management or a related discipline.
- Certificate / Diploma in Long-Term Care Management Program.
- 5 - 10 years of leadership experience in a health care environment and in a leadership management capacity directly supervising and/or managing employees.
- Experience within relevant role or equivalent of combined education / experience.
