Database Programmer Analyst
Enterprise Applications, Information Technology Solutions
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Position Available
SALARY: $62,298 - $87,859 per annum
POSITION LOCATION: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
The Database Programmer Analyst supports corporate data at the enterprise level. Key expectations include SQL programming, software installation and implementation, technical support, measuring and tuning database performance, data analysis, database maintenance, web ASP, XML, server maintenance, security and operational support for a 7-day, 24-hour production environment. The incumbent will participate in application design issues, promote standards, project management and proactively seek better ways in developing and using new database technologies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Information Technology; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience supporting and configuring enterprise database applications to ensure stability and resolve user issues.
- Experience managing database administration, backups, troubleshooting, security, and on-call support
- Experience documenting application processes, workflow mappings, conducting analysis and design for new database implementations
- Extensive expertise in SQL and a comprehensive understanding of Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) principles
- Familiarity with the ITIL framework, change management, and project management and best practices
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience fine-tuning data warehouse environments to enable reliable data reporting and analysis
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication and diplomacy skills
- Experience working co-operatively in a team environment
- Ability to work with limited supervision and follow and create established standards and processes
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- ITIL Foundations certification
- Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Oracle SQL Developer
- Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, and Jenkins
- Experience with SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Redgate SQL Monitor, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana
- Experience with Gits and GitHub
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
- Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
- This position may be required to travel
- This position may be required to work overtime
