SALARY RANGE: Starting at $21.34 Per Hour

POSITION TYPE: Part-time, Permanent (Minimum 30 Hours Per Week) LOCATION: Saskatoon

ACCOUNTABLE TO : Infrastructure Operations Manager

Brief Overview Métis Nation – Saskatchewan (MN-S) is seeking a dedicated team player committed to delivering high-quality service to support the objectives of MN-S and will provide a range of guest services as a Front Desk Agent.

MN-S is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented staff to join our team at a new 30-unit building located in downtown Saskatoon, which is designed to accommodate Métis Citizens travelling to Saskatoon for medical appointments and other needs.

The ideal candidate will manage guest records, respond to guest requests, address security concerns, and oversee housekeeping staff to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing superior service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest check-ins/outs: register guests, assign parking.
  • Review hotel procedures, rules and policies with guests.
  • Address general security issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest profiles, billing records, maintenance issues, email responses, and communication with guests before, during, and after checkout.
  • Run daily end-of-shift audit reports and routine reporting.
  • Distribute and collect guest satisfaction surveys.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
  • Maintain and replenish housekeeping supplies and amenities as needed.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to general inquiries or guest requests.
  • Adhere to all safety, OH&S and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Address and resolve any housekeeping concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Infrastructure Operations Manager.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in front desk, administration, or hotel settings.
  • Hospitality experience or training is preferred.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction
  • Knowledge of Métis culture
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience working with computer software systems
  • Ability to post and balance charges accurately
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to perform general cleaning tasks involving squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling
  • Working knowledge of hotel operations methods and techniques, Ability to work alone and independently
  • Capable of climbing ladders and working from heights
  • Trustworthy and reliable

Additional Information

  • Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector.
