Description: The Cook's Assistant works under limited supervision and in accordance with catering or tally sheets in prioritizing, preparing and storing a variety of fresh ingredients and foods that will be served to patients, residents, visitors and staff. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications
Two years institutional experience in preparation of large quantiles of salads and sandwiches. Able to work weekends, holidays. Able to lift 20kg. Able to stand for long periods of time. Able to start at 5 am. Able to handle temperature changes.
