Evergreen Catholic Separate School Division is currently seeking a dynamic leader with a proven record of success to be a school-based principal. The initial assignment would be at (K - Gr .4) within the community of Spruce Grove, Alberta, and services the Catholic communities of Spruce Grove and Parkland County. It provides quality faith-filled programming to over 349 students. The position commences on August 24, 2026 of the 2026-2027 school year.
Job Details The principal occupies a central role in the success of all aspects of the school, by building positive and proactive relationships and empowering staff, students, volunteers, and community members.
Education In addition to being innovative and visionary leaders, candidates must have a passion for educational excellence and a proven track record of exemplary performance in the following areas:
- student learning and achievement
- Catholic faith leadership
- active involvement in his/her parish community
- participation in the sacraments of the Church
- commitment to ongoing religious formation
- commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church
- curricular and instructional practices suited to today's learners
- differentiated and inclusive school environments
- educational technology
- inspirational leadership
- open, positive and respectful relationships with all members of the school community
- organization and communication skills
Applications Candidates are asked to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three educational based letters of references and a current pastoral reference. Preference will be given to individuals who have completed a Master's degree in a relevant field or who are currently enrolled in Masters Studies.
