About the role

Registered Early Childhood Educator (Temp. Part Time: Oct. 2025 - May 2026)

Status: Temporary Part Time: October 2025 – May 2026

Hours: Six hours per week

Home Campus: Fennell (fully on-site)

Rate of Pay: $20.56 per hour, plus 4% in lieu of vacation

Posting Date: August 14th, 2025

Closing Date: August 20th, 2025 at 7:00 pm EST

This position will provide childcare in support of the implementation of the Learning Together research project.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Schedules and develops activity programs.
  • Conducts and monitors activity programs designed for young children (2-6 year, 6-12 years).
  • Documents progress for children and provides feedback to caregivers as to children’s progress.
  • Attends meetings with research team and professionals to provide feedback, adjust on site delivery as necessary.
  • End of session tidy up, cleaning and disinfecting the toys and maintaining the environment to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all.

Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 2-year diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • RECE mandatory.
  • 1 year of previous caregiving experience with children in group settings.
  • Vulnerable Section check required at time of hire.
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
  • The ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse students, employees, and communities.
