The new Delta branch is currently seeking an Inbound Logistics Coordinator, offering $28 to $30 an hour (plus a discretionary annual bonus).
The Role
The main duties of the Inbound Logistics Coordinator include working in the office as well as outdoors, scheduling inbound deliveries, coordinating with carriers, terminals, warehouses, and internal teams, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are received efficiently and on time.
This position covers shift times fully on-site from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday to Friday.
Excel proficiency is required as this role relies on manual data entry!
Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound shipments, including breakbulk, containers, rail, and domestic deliveries. Schedule and communicate inbound deliveries with carriers, terminals, and warehouse personnel. Monitor shipment status and proactively follow up on delays or issues. Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation. Maintain accurate records within the company's ERP system and tracking spreadsheets. Coordinate container pickups, returns, and related documentation. Track inbound vessels and rail shipments to ensure timely deliveries. Enter and maintain inventory and receiving information. Communicate with freight forwarders, steamship lines, third-party warehouses, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure the smooth flow of inbound material. Keep detailed records of all shipments. Inspect shipments for correctness and damage. Verify the accuracy and condition of loads before drivers depart. Work with the team to solve logistics problems and enhance efficiency. Assist with general logistics and inventory-related administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, transportation, and supply chain coordination. Strong computing skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Excel. Thorough in keeping data entries updated. Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills, as well as customer service skills. Attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable and coachable, with s trong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience using ERP or inventory management systems is considered an asset. Knowledge of container, rail, or breakbulk shipping is an asset.
