About the role

*This role is open to remote based candidates based in Canada, with a preference for Vancouver-based candidates*

We’re looking for a Director, Marketing to join our team and be part of our next stage of growth. As the Director of Traction Rec’s Marketing team, you will oversee a team working to expand Traction Rec’s reach and presence with prospects, customers, partners and candidates. We are building the best vertical software in the Salesforce ecosystem and we are looking for growth focused individuals to join our growing team. We are looking for a people leader who is a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor. This role will report to the CRO and be responsible for significantly growing and scaling our marketing team. This person should have experience in 8-figure ARR SaaS companies thriving in fast paced environments powered by a values-driven, trusted brand that generates opportunity and growth potential. You are the most prominent voice in the company for building and owning pipeline. This role is for someone who is a builder at heart, happy to be hands-on, and motivated by growth potential.

Skills

Traction Rec’rs come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from diverse backgrounds. For this role, you might have :

  • 7+ years B2B experience in saas marketing roles with at least 3 years in leadership or management roles at 8-figure ARR companies

  • Experience creating strategic marketing plans to support key business objectives

  • Hands-on experience developing and scaling demand generation and marketing programs in growth environments. Experience in ABM an asset

  • Demonstrated results leveraging generative AI tools to enhance marketing productivity with quantified impacts

  • Experience implementing and using modern marketing automation and demand generation tools (Salesforce, Pardot, ABM platforms)

  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data, establishing KPIs, generating insights, and optimizing campaigns

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and nurture a high-performing team

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with the sales and product teams

  • Experienced in developing solution briefs for extended agency or partner involvement.

  • Experience with fostering strong relationships with partners and alliances within a technology ecosystem

  • Experience owning a pipeline quota, driving measurable outputs, and managing marketing budgets >$1M

  • History of launching products in new verticals or markets

What You Will Be Doing

  • Demand Generation

    • Own and lead pipeline across the entire company
    • Own and execute our demand generation strategies aligned to sales goals
    • Create marketing messaging that attracts prospects and drives urgency
    • Develop and scale multi-channel campaigns to drive qualified leads
    • Align demand generation strategies to sales team to ensure effective account engagement and revenue generation
    • Foster a team-wide culture of demand generation throughout cross functional teams in GTM and broader organization
  • Brand and Messaging

    • Maintain and elevate our brand positioning to clearly communicate value
    • Communication and marketing strategies to existing customers to drive engagement, referrals, and product adoption
    • Partner with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels
    • Support customer communication from all internal teams
  • Collaboration and Alliances

    • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition to the sales team and develop tools that support the selling process
    • Support go-to-market partnerships and relevant channel alliances
    • Work with external partners and vendors to facilitate marketing programs
  • Business and Team Leadership

    • Lead with urgency, responsiveness, and visibility. This is a fast-moving, collaborative environment where proactivity and presence are essential.
    • Develop and own the overall marketing strategy plus KPIs ensuring alignment with company goals and revenue targets
    • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing and growing marketing team
    • Foster a team environment of value, trust, and growth
    • Coordination between sales, engagement, product, services, and support team members
    • Competently manage roadblocks and decision making
    • Develop and monitor budgets to ensure the most efficient allocation of resources
  • Travel as required within Canada and the US to meet clients and attend events.

Compensation

At Traction Rec, we are committed to a fair, market-based and equitable compensation structure. Our market data is refreshed on an annual basis to reflect the most current market conditions.

The starting salary band for this role is $120,000-$140,000. Starting salaries will vary within this range based on experience, skill level, and internal equity related to the role.
