Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

The Production, Infrastructure, and Engineering team (PI&E) provides the essential services and infrastructure that power many of EA's biggest games. Our charter is to make EA's games and services available to all players, anytime and anywhere, while also helping developers build new games quickly. We achieve this with our infrastructure and application management platform.

As a Software Engineer, you will work with a team of engineers to design, build, and optimize new systems. You will develop features and improve the performance, robustness, and scalability of the production platform that is used to host and operate EA's biggest games. You will create automation tools and workflows to maintain our large fleet of Kubernetes clusters.

You will report to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • You will maintain and contribute to a large-scale managed cloud service for EA games.
  • You will create automated workflows that manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure resources, allowing development teams to deploy and manage their game services in a self-service, low-toil way.
  • You will develop operational tools and workflows that allow other engineering teams to safely and easily manage their infrastructure fleet and execute upgrades without impacting live services.
  • You will write high-quality code, participate in peer reviews, and resolve defects across development, testing, and live environments.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering
  • Proficiency with Golang, Typescript, and React
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure as code practices
  • Familiarity with tools like Terraform and Helm and major cloud providers such as AWS and GCP

Bonus

  • Experience with AI engineering practices, including use of LLMs

This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.
