About the role
Crawford is seeking a Branch Manager to provide leadership and direction for the Commercial Claims Team within our Third-Party Administration division. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring effective service delivery and fostering a collaborative work environment.
This position is based in Canada and offers flexible working arrangements. Candidates may choose between in-office, hybrid, or fully remote work options to best suit their needs and preferences.
Salary range: $93,000 to $115,000

Lead a team of Supervisors and Adjusters dedicated to commercial claims.

Provide the team with direction and coaching to ensure the efficient handling of commercial casualty claims.

Providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to the team in the management of day-to-day business issues.

Analyzing, developing and implementing an efficient claims system by monitoring delivery systems, procedures and methods to help improve processes and results.

Monitoring file pendings and managing with metrics.

Coaching and developing to maintain sufficient reserves to cover losses.

Fostering staff development by assisting with the selection of staff, conducting performance evaluations, providing ongoing and effective feedback, identifying training opportunities and keeping staff informed of changes to policies and procedures.

Accountable for the performance management of assigned staff.

Initiating interviews for vacancies within the team and makes recommendations for new hires.

Providing support and guidance to adjusters on escalations and handling complaints raised at the leader level.

A minimum of 10 years of technical experience handling commercial casualty claims.

A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, with the ability to effectively lead, train and develop employees.

Full CIP designation with the ability to get licensed throughout Canada.

Ability to effectively manage client relationships and ensuring high-quality service.

Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Advanced computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
