About the role

Reporting to the VP and Regional Executive (RE) of Lockheed Martin Canada and Latin America, the Chief of Staff acts as a strategic partner to the VP/RE of Lockheed Martin Canada and Latin America, enabling focus on enterprise priorities by driving alignment, execution, and integration of the Canada and Latin America strategies with Lockheed Martin corporate objectives.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Chief of Staff anticipates the VP’s needs, integrates across Global Business Development & Strategy (GBDS), Business Areas (BAs), and corporate functions, and ensures disciplined execution of priorities. The role requires strong strategic judgment, business and financial acumen, executive presence, and the ability to deliver high‑quality work products in a fast‑paced, complex environment. The following provides an example of how the Chief of Staff works to align and integrate the strategy for the regions with the corporation:

  • Support the GBDS Leadership Team to develop, integrate, and execute Canada and Latin American growth strategies aligned to Lockheed Martin corporate objectives.

Executive Enablement & Decision Support

  • Anticipate the VP’s information, planning, and decision‑making needs; operate with delegated authority when appropriate.
  • Prepare executive‑level materials, including briefing packages, dashboards, chart packs, and presentations for internal and external engagements.
  • Coordinate requests for information across stakeholders and synthesize complex inputs into clear, executive‑ready insights.

Governance, Planning & Leadership Forums

  • Develop agendas for and facilitate GBDi Leadership Team meetings, BA collaboration forums, and offsite sessions.
  • Capture key decisions, actions, and risks; establish ownership and timelines to ensure follow‑through and execution.
  • Ensure effective governance, cadence and alignment across leadership bodies**.**

Financial & Performance Management

  • Own GBDi budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting in close partnership with Finance & Business Operations (F&BO).
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to support resource allocation, prioritization, and strategic decision‑making.

Executive Engagements & Special Projects

  • Lead planning and execution of GBDi executive visits outside of Canada, including coordination across stakeholders and geographies.
  • Manage special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as assigned, often involving sensitive issues or time‑critical deliverables.

What you bring to the role

  • Demonstrated experience operating in an executive or enterprise‑level environment.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and business acumen skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience partnering on budgets and forecasts.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating and delivering executive‑level presentations.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, sound judgment, and comfort operating independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools and executive reporting technologies.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Experience owning or managing budgets in a complex organization.
  • Experience working with the Canadian defence sector and government procurement environment.
  • Experience working within a large, matrixed, or global organization.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range

$136,000 - $178,500
