Description Human Resources Business Partner (Mississauga, 4-6 month contract) FirstService Residential transforms the property management landscape by providing professional association management services to over 9,000 residential communities across the United States and Canada.

We’re looking for a seasoned HR Business Partner who thrives in a dynamic fast paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings both strategic insight and hands-on execution, with a passion for working with a talented and diverse workforce.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a primary HR partner to managers and associates, offering guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Support full-cycle HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, leave of absences and policy advisory.
- Provide strategic coaching to leaders on team development, conflict resolution, and effective people and performance management.
- Ensure organizational legislative compliance, through program and policy development.
- Continue to make us a Great Place to Work, by driving a great associate experience, investigating employee relations issues promptly while providing thorough and accurate communication to all stakeholders.
- Work in collaboration with local leaders s on promoting safety activities, including but not limited to: health and safety, compliance, WHMIS and accessibility.
- Track and report on key HR metrics, analyze the information to make recommendations for continuous improvement operationally and for our associates.
- Process all WSIB claims for associates in a timely manner in compliance with all WSIB rules and regulations.
- Support and drive change initiatives organizationally and champion our company culture.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
What You Bring
- 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or business partner capacity.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience in a fast paced, high volume client service-based business is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex employee relations matters and investigations.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in while adhering to organizational polices and employment standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related discipline, preferred.
- HR certification (CHRP, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is an asset.

Compensation Compensation for this role is $65,000 – 85,000
