A philanthropic endeavor that truly embodies our corporate mission. Summary: Perform general assembly of mechanical and/or electronic subassemblies and products as directed by supervisor.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm EST

Pay: $18.00 per hour CAD

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Manually assemble mechanical and/or electronic components.
  • Use tools to make or repair parts and products.
  • Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions.
  • Work with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products at takt rate
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures.
  • Use reason to solve problems as they arise and identify areas for improvement.
  • Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
  • Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies.
  • Verify and inspect the final assembly of products to ensure their quality.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be familiar in working with electronic devices

Knowledge Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good basic computer skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures and work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop
  • Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands

  • Manual dexterity suitable for use of utilizing machinery and/or a computer
  • Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to work in a warehouse
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 80% of the time comfortably, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Must be comfortable working in a complex production machining and assembly environment
  • The working area is primarily in a manufacturing environment located around machines and heavy equipment such as a forklift or pallet operator
  • Operation of the machine requires working with, and coming into contact with, various materials and substances
  • Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or safety vest
  • Working temperatures may vary from hot, cold, humid, wet or dry
  • Working hours may be extended and weekends may be required in order to meet manufacturing needs
