POSITION OVERVIEW:

Position Type: Full-time, In Office

Location: 400-1430 Blair Towers Place, Ottawa ON

Compensation Starting at: $68,000/year based on experience
-
Security Clearance Requirements: Due to the nature of our work, all employees must be able to obtain a clearance with the Government of Canada. For this position, you will be required to obtain a Level 2 - Secret clearance which requires a minimum of 10 years residency in Canada.

REQUIREMENTS:
· Legally entitled to work in Canada.· Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.· Ability to obtain a Level 2 (Secret) Government of Canada Security Clearance (This requires a minimum of 10 years residency in Canada).· Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil preferred) from an accredited institution (ideally in Canada).· 1+ years of experience in Engineering Project Coordination and Research & Design.· Good understanding of basic engineering and principles and aptitude to learn new concepts.· 3D modelling (Solidworks or equivalent) and 2D drawings (Solidworks, Draftsight or equivalent).
NICE TO HAVE:· Proficiency in French.· Experience with SR&ED and IRAP applications.· Experience with RF shielding and EMC testing.· Experience with ladder logic programming.· Structural and/or mechanical design experience.· Understanding of pneumatic systems and components. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Providing high level design for RF Shielded Enclosures and Anechoic Chambers.· Providing technical support to the Project Management Department as well as production.· Reviewing drawings.· Providing technical support to drafters.· Assistance with the design of custom or innovative products as required by clients, including modelling, drawings, engineering calculations, programming, and RF testing.· Supporting the development of marketing material for existing and new products.· Technical writing, such as articles or white papers.· Communication and education of the IP strategy to the company.· Documentation of new product “storyline”, recording lessons learned, changes and future improvements and communication to the team.· Engineering research around the changes and developments within the controlled electromagnetic environment industries.· Completing SR&ED applications.· Completing IRAP or other R&D funding applications.· Potential duties:
