About the role

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Marketing & Internal Communications role exists to drive strategic marketing and communication initiatives for Acorn in partnership with the business to enhance the SE Health’s strategy and growth across Canada. This role is responsible for developing the marketing and communication plans that align with organizational objectives, target key audiences, and deliver engagement. The Senior Marketing Manager collaborates across the organization to bring forward the compelling Acorn internal stories that drive understanding, collaboration and momentum.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and implements comprehensive Acorn communication strategies that align with organizational goals and drive engagement

  • Identifies trends and gathers Acorn insights to inform strategic and operational planning
  • Collaborates with marketing communications to ensure brand and communications consistency across all touchpoints and channels

Leads the planning, development and execution of Acorn internal communications that elevate education, commitment and understanding of SE Health’s key enterprise projects

  • Oversees internal communications to optimize reach and impact
  • Collaborates with internal teams to understand target audiences and build effective content that address audience insights
  • Creates key messages that align with the enterprise brand narrative, purpose and values

Plays a leadership role, running Acorn SharePoint Hub(s) and establishing a network for collecting, optimizing and amplifying best practice communication strategies within SE Health

  • Practices operational excellence with the digital team to ensure alignment and efficiency to gather and showcase the best practices in internal communications
  • Identifies opportunities and strategic re-positioning for Acorn projects based on feedback

Leads in driving SE Health’s Acorn presence at internal presentations and events

  • Oversee the development of marketing and communication materials specific to internal forums for maximum education and engagement
  • Provides communication coaching and leadership support across Acorn projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Relevant certifications in Branding and/or Project Management are an asset
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Marketing or Communications in similar complex industry – direct Health Care, Government, Non-Profit/Charity experience valuable
  • Specialized knowledge in developing and executing internal communications with a focus on stakeholder management, change management, content development and strategic positioning.
  • Experience in consulting, managing digital transformation and /or change management an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with executive level stakeholders and external consultants to shape and refine communications
  • Ontario based with ability to work out of SE Markham office 2-3 times per month
